The state historical highway signs group on River Road has no sign to the adjoining once 1660's "Hilton River," now just generically labeled the Brunswick River; once the site and sight, of a post WWII, Liberty & Victory boat reserve fleet.

Today, the Brunswick County school system has invited about 550 people, including school staff, county commissioners and parents in the advisory council, to participate in its first "State of the Schools" forum. There will be speeches and roundtable discussions on where the schools are and where they should go, and on how people in the community can represent the schools positively. Please join in by posting your comments or questions.
